Ria qualified as a physiotherapist from the University of Pretoria in 2001 and received her Masters Degree in 2004 in Sport Medicine form the same institution.
She has completed courses in chronic pain, dynamic and kinesiotaping as well as dry needling.She has worked in both out-patient and hospital practices and is the owner of PhysioFirst.
She worked in school sport for 13 years, but is not actively involved with teams anymore – preferring to spend more time with her 3 daughters.
I grew up in the Lowveld and graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in BSc Physiotherapy. Living by the motto that life is what you make of it!
I am an extrovert and therefore getting all my energy from working with people. I enjoy the outdoors especially when exploring it through hiking and deep sea diving. I have a big passion for running, crossfit and swimming.
I graduated from the University of Cape Town with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy in 2020. I completed my community service at Joe Morolong Memorial Hospital in Vryburg. I worked in private practice in Rustenburg as well as a disability claims assessor for Momentum.
I love interacting and working with people, making a difference in other people’s lives even in the smallest way. Being a physio allows me to empower, educate, encourage and treat patients to perform and return to their highest functional level.
